Coral Construction Company, a general contracting firm established in Florida since 1968 has expanded during the past several years to include Coral Marine Construction. Coral Marine Construction is a Florida Limited Liability Company filed with the State of Florida on 6/17/05 as a marine contracting firm by George Steinmetz and Paul Van Beuren to provide superior marine services for both the public and to the private sector, including but not limited to construction of wood and concrete decks, boardwalks, bridges, floating docks, gangway, observation platforms, piers, fishing platforms, walkovers, seawalls, boat ramps, and docks. Since its inception, Coral Marine Construction has been located in the Florida Keys, which is one of the most environmentally sensitive areas in the state. We specialize in construction in or over submerged aquatic vegetation and marsh or mangrove habitat. Coral Marine Construction works in close coordination and cooperation with both the US Army Corps of Engineers and Department of Environmental Protection. With practical experience in working in environmentally sensitive areas, we are able to assess and evaluate each client’s unique situation. We can offer superior services including, but not limited to, suggestions on types of marine construction and repairs of such structures.

Additionally, Coral Marine Construction has been pre-qualified by FDOT under the following work classes: All types of Seawalls and Docks; R & R Major Bridges, and Drainage.

Over 30 years of experience

George Steinmetz, joint owner operator, has over 30 years of experience in the construction field holding State of Florida Certified Building Contractor’s License since 1986 and his State of Florida Certified General Contractor’s License since 2006. In that said time, he has constructed 100’s of docks consisting of concrete, wood or composite, performed shoreline stabilization, demolition, construction of seawalls, and concrete restoration. During these projects his responsibilities included overall project management of the scope of work in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
